It's confusing to you because you don't understand wit, as wit is the highest form of humor, and you are the lowest common denominator. The jokes were quite simple, albeit very very chuckle-worthy and rich. The character of the new partner really shines through the holes in his hasty (read: lazy) decisions.

I'm gonna be completely honest here.

This was unfunny. It is apparent that either:
a.) Someone who is funny put no effort into this
-or-
b.) Someone who is not funny put way too much effort into this.
First off, your comedic approach was questionable. It seemed like you were going for cheap gags and hurr-hurr giggle moments for retards at daycare centres. It was just... I'll just put it this way, I've been more giddy at funerals.
Secondly, THE CAST. Oh my god, was the acting horrible. The only person who sounded good was TomaMoto, and I have no idea why such a genius voice-actor/animator would want to be involved in such a horrid project. And Snake... Snake just killed me. My younger sister can do a better impression than that. For someone so famous, you'd think that this had a shimmer of hope and a shining light somewhere in it, but nope. Nothing. I'm giving this a well-deserved 4/10 just because you were smart and cast TomaMoto.
